Day 5

January 5, 2011
So far we have been going every night to the park after work as planned.  We definately have to mix up the parks. Today, Cassie decide she did not want to ride her bike around the track.  She'd rather walk and jog with me.  Charlie and I did not get much of a work out.  We were able to only do 3 laps, because Cassie was worn out, started cutthing throught the middle of the field, go backwards, basically had us nervous to death (there are no lights on the track so it gets very dark). Tomorrow we will have to hit the park with the playground.  This way we can take turns walking, as she runs, swings and slides her little heart out.

Another successfull evening of working out (sort-of) and wearing out the 3 yr old!  Daddy and mommy got alone time early, for once! lol

Todays picture is brought to you by the words spoiled rotten!
These are my munchkins lil (big) chuncky feet.  Every night, she puts her feet on my belly and asks me to rub them as she goes to sleep.  Once she gets tired of me rubbing her feet, she rolls over and asks me to rub her back. I feel sorry for her future boyfriend/husband!

Yes I know, I have her very spoiled, but love her to death and love the bonding/calm moments we have together.  She is currently the only child, so she milks us good!  I have to embrace and enjoy every moment with her, as spoiled and rotten as they may be.  She will eventually hate me and not want to hang out or lay with me.  As harsh as it may seem, its the truth. We all have gone through that phase.  May God grant me high serenity and patience then.......cause I will need it!! lol

Day 4

January 4, 2011

Today was a good day.....rofl. That saying always reminds me of Ice Cube back in the day.  So with that being said, not much to report today.  Charlie went to HML to register for the GED courses.  Although he got his diploma online, colleges won't accept it.  They call is a correspondence diploma, no credits attached, so its only good for face value. Go figure. So he has to retake the test in order to get into the Medical Assistance program in Dade.  Since its been over 15 yrs since he has been in school, he definately needs all the prep classes lol. Serves him right dropping out for no reason.

Now on to todays picture!  It is brought to you by the words bike and run.  We went walking at HML tonight, instead of the usual McDonalds park.  The upside, we got more of a workout in since Cassie did not get distracted going to the playground.  The downside, we got more of a workout lol.

Cassie has become too comfortable on the bike and pedals FAST! So she was our personal trainer all night.  Yelling out "run mommy run", "run daddy run"....."faster" ROFL. It was hilarious cause we were chasing after her around the whole track!  Today I woke up, lets just say, sore!

Day 3

Today was the official first work day of 2011.  Although the day dragged and we were all on slow motion, it was a good day.  I organized and completed a lot of lingering paperwork. I still have a lot of 2007-2010 application boxing to do, but that is at the end of my to do list.....for now.

Along with being the first day back to work, it was officially the first day Charlie and I started a new routine...go to the park after dinner.  We tried doing it a couple of weeks ago, but it was too cold and we were all borderline sick.  We do not have a backyard big enough for the baby to have a playground set or ride her bike, but we live 1/2 a block from the HML field and a couple blocks away from McDonald's park.  We have NO excuse!

I must say, the best part of going out as a family to the park to walk and ride bike is that it wears Cassie out!  She was yawning the whole time as I bathed her, then 5 minutes after getting her PJs on, she knocked out!!  SCORE!!  Dinner was a bust - but that is a whole different story lol.

Now on to the picture for the day.  Todays picture is mommy's all in ones anity and nightmare!  Santa brought Cassie this lovely Dora Backpack Playdoh set.  She will sit for hours at a time playing with it.  I must admit, it is really cool.  Pretty much every section has a place to mold things. You can make boots, the animal band members, bridge troll, Tico, Iza, etc.  The down fall.....cleaning and scraping dried up playdoh from the table, tile, walls etc.  Besides that....I thank you Playdoh Dora Backpack set for keeping my 3 year old entertained while I make dinner each night and keeping my arms in shape for the constant scrubbing! ;0)

Day 2

January 2, 2011

It is so weird writing 2011!  I will eventually get use to it, we all do, but its crazy to think about how bizare writing 2000 was 11 years ago!!!!  Anywho, so I digress.  Today I spent the morning putting away clean laundry that has been sitting in the laundry baskets since 2010 (hee hee).  I decided I wanted to have more Cassie and Me time in 2011 (especially on the weekends since I am free).  My original plans were to take her to the park, then the movies to see the movie Tangled.
They day started off as planned.  We were at the playground for about an hour and a half.  Drove down the street to Main Street and parked at the theater.  After I paid for the tickets and bought popcorn, her 3 yr old tantrums started! She started yelling "This way", pointing at the exit lol.  I picked her up and talked to her the whole walk inside the theater about how cute and funny the princess movie was.  It lasted all about 5 minutes, then she had to go "boo boo" her way of saying I have to pee.  We ran to the bathroom, ran back to the theater and then she remembered she didn't want to go in.  Screaming at the top of her lungs "No mommy lets go, this way!" She did not give the movie a chance AT ALL! I blame Disney's Snow White ride for this.  Ever since we rode that ride, she has not been the same. She calls everything "scary" to her "Snow White scary". Yes I laugh now, but I was not laughing Sunday. A waste of money! Its not like I have never taken her to the movies before, she saw Toy Story 3.  I guess I will have to wait until she forgets about the "scary ride", for us to enjoy the movies together again.
Ooh I missed the funniest part, on the drive home, she asked to see Tangled at home, but NOT at the theater. WTH!?! ROFL. Kids I tell you.

Picture on the left is my munchkin playing in the playground.  Picture on the right, is a picture I took of myself showing how long my hair is. I swear I am the real life "Tangled".  In less than 6 months it has grown 6 inches! Don't mind the seriousness...the sun was in my eyes.

Better late than never.....

Day 1

The end of 2010 and start of 2011 was crazy!  For starters, we spent the last dinner of the year at my grandma's house eating ox tail (YUMMMM).  The plan after dinner was to go meet up with my dad at Bayside to ring in the new year on the boat.  Well, Charlie had been sick all day with a stomach virus, so right after dinner, I took him home.  BEFORE you start judging me on leaving him alone to ring in the new year, he agreed to go home, because he knew I promised my dad I would go meet him.  Plus, I had a couple of items he had asked me for.  So Cassie and I drove off to Bayside at 9:30 pm.  Traffic was MADNESS and parking was worse!  It was a great event! There were so many people there. No fights (that I could see).  I would definately do it again.  Miami style......bringing in the New Year with the Orange drop - instead of an apple!
So my first entry to my 365 day project are the below 2 pictures:
Orange Drop Miami Style                       and        My Date for the New Year (Cassie)

The rest of Jan 1, 2011 we spent at home, in PJs relaxing and watching tv lol. Life is good ;0)
SN: Charlie was still sick all day.

The begining of 2011!

Have you ever started something and never completed it?  Have a great idea and it never went further than writing down on paper?  Ha!  This is totally me!  This is my attempt, once and for all, to start something and FINISH IT!

The challenge:  Take at least one photo per day that inspires me, moves me in some way, or explains my feelings/situation at that moment.  Post the picture and write about it.  Every day.  No matter the weather, time, day, if I’m in town, out-of-town, sick, whatever.  Every day! It will be my photo diary of 2011!

This project will hopefully help me reflect on myself and help me understand/see what is important in my life, what should I change and or keep as is.

So I welcome you to my page and my 2011 journey!
